Liverpool Street tube station in the heart of the City of London is the fifth busiest station on the London Underground network. Four lines pass through it – the Central, Circle, Metropolitan and Hammersmith and City lines. One of these, the Circle line, operates at “deep level”, way below the pedestrians walking above ground.
